IIRC, the white LED was on, which correctly referred to a GPU problem. Moving the GPU to the second GPU slot fixed this, so I think the motherboard might be getting faulty. I should report that about six months ago a similar issue was occurring, where I wouldn't get any video output. Checked the CPU for bent pins, reseatted the CPU Reconnected the CPU and power supply cables But it's been two years that I've used this CPU. So when i turn on my computer everything works, gpu fans start, cpu cooler fan starts and everything else, but the ez debug vga led lights on and my monitor. I'm stuck because if it was a new build, I know that I probably put the CPU in the slot wrong, or it came with a broken pin. It is a toggle switch, one side is the standard on/off symbol and the other side is a circle with an arrow. On my Cyberpower PC, the button to change the fan LED light is shared with the power button on top of the PC. I read through the manual, and it said that the red Q LED means that its a CPU issue. The fan settings will generally be located under CPU, Hardware Monitor or Advanced. Today I decided to troubleshoot the issue. Since then, I've been using my mac (Haven't been gaming much, mainly used my PC for work). I'll update the post here with my findings for those that want closure to this problem!Ībout 2 months ago I went to turn on my PC and it refused to output any video. Depending on the outcome, I'll either RMA the board or the CPU. I'm going to order the same one and see what happens when I plug in the CPU. Looks like the motherboard LEDS knew what was going on all along.Įdit: I'll continuing monitoring this post in case someone has any more helpful suggestions, but so far I truly think it's a motherboard issue. In fact, everything in the motherboard worked fine. I installed the new 3600 that AMD sent after I RMAd the old one into the motherboard, and it worked fine. A few months after this post I built my sister a new PC. This is not a new build, the components are 12 months old (I built the system Dec 13), but used heavily daily as a gaming machine and the system was working fine until I decided to up grade the case and remove the components and when reinstalled nothing, no Beeps, No Post, no monitor etc.Tl dr: It turned out to be the CPU. ![]() Is there anything I have missed or anything else I can do before replacing hardware and what do I replace having stripped the system down to the minimum I am at a loss to understand what else I can do to resolve the problem. 20 Specications Specification Comparison Table Z270 PC MATE H270 PC MATE B250 PC. Before I replace hardware how do I know what is failing is it the PSU, motherboard or CPU (I think its the CPU because of the solid red LED light and the few pins that needed straightening but the forums suggest differently). On start-up first the CPU LED lights up but does not go out and move on. ![]() I have checked the CPU pins and they look okay although had to straighten a few but still get solid red CPU LED. The PSU fan works and lights up and the connected CPU fan also works. If your problem cannot be solved after following steps 13, please replace the CPU. I have gone through the diagnostic process on the forum and breadboarded (to eliminate shorts) my PSU, motherboard and CPU after removing the CMOS battery, and resetting the CMOS (using the jump). When I power up, I have a solid green standby LED light on the motherboard and a solid red CPU LED light on the motherboard but no POST. Check if there is any dirt on the CPU Socket Pin or CPU Pin as shown in the images below.
